Using your Abbey Gold membership
The facilities must be used in accordance with Abbey Gold conditions. Facilities may only be used during off peak times; Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 8am-8pm and Sundays 8am-6pm. Centres cannot be used at times when the centre is not normally open; neither can training incur any extra costs (such as flood lighting).
In return for the benefits of an Abbey Gold membership, the Council’s Sports Development Team and participating facilities and services can use the scheme as a promotional tool. Abbey Gold members are expected to assist in promotional activity and events whenever possible and appropriate, including up to two years after membership has ceased, and are expected to attend at least one event per year.
Redditch Sports Development Team is keen to keep up to date with members’ recent competition results, national representation and ranking so you are required to inform the Sports Development Team of your progress and successes throughout the year.
The Sports Development Team will also monitor how the scheme benefits its members in terms of how often facilities and services are used, and a questionnaire will be circulated each year to ascertain usage of the facilities, and the perceived benefits.
You can renew your Abbey Gold membership each year pending evidence of your continued participation at a national level.
